Our world seems to keep spinning around with increasingly speed and dotted with decisions that at times appear to be overwhelming. Instant communication demands instant response and that encourages increasing communication. At times by the end of a busy day you wonder if you responded intelligently to all the demands made. What did you fail to get done? Are home demands also increasing to the point that you have to rationalize that you are happy with your life? Maybe we should all take a few deep breaths and savor a few moments of free association to explore more pleasure-inducing thoughts and dreams.
With free time becoming almost a luxury and never lasting sufficiently long, an adventure into reading, listening to music or planning visits to some longed for destination could each, of and by themselves, provide respite from our overloaded thoughts and, just maybe, recharge our thought processes to allow us a bit of deserved joy and happiness.
Too many people need to have a sincere, happy greeting that could change their outlook for a day but first we need to alleviate our own stresses in order to offer kindness to others. It’s amazing and satisfying to witness the shocked smile returned by someone not expecting a cheerful greeting.
